After the attack on pearl harbor the United States increased its war production rapidly. The expansion was possible in part because the government already begun mobilizing the economy after the war begun. Factories built tanks, airplanes, trucks, safer ships and jeeps for military. Tanks would replace cars. we built stronger ships referred to as liberty ships. everything instantly became for and about the war. As the men went out for war the women and minorities played an important role in the armed forces for WW2. Also this was the war with the introduction of the nuclear weapons.
